Mikael Lustig is expecting a tough encounter for Celtic against FC Astra in their Europa League fixture on Thursday.

Celtic thrashed Ross County 5-0 on Saturday to warm up for the crucial Europa League encounter against the Romanians.

The league win over Ross County came as a welcome relief for Ronny Deila’s men, who went down in their precious league encounter against Hamilton at home.

Lustig, who made a comeback from his injury this weekend, believes FC Astra will pose serious threats on Thursday and the Hoops need to show the same sort of discipline that they showed in their win against Ross County.

Deila’s men are unbeaten in the Europa league thanks to their 2-2 draw away to Red Bull Salzburg and a 1-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb at home.

“I got 60 minutes and I will play more but I have been away for a couple of weeks and hopefully I’ll be ready for Thursday”, Lustig told Celtic View.

“We have done well in the group so hopefully we can take three points.

“It’s not going to be an easy game.

"Astra have made it to the group stages so, of course, they have a decent team. We need to play at a pace like we did against Ross County to get the three points.”

FC Astra on the other hand will be looking for their first points in the Europa League at Celtic Park.
