Arsene Wenger has called on Arsenal to give extra effort, ahead of his side’s Champions League meeting with Anderlecht tonight.

The Gunners, who drew 2-2 with Hull City at the weekend, have lost just once in the Premier League this season.

However, Arsenal find themselves in seventh spot in the standings with 11 points from eight games, owing to their five drawn fixtures.

Wenger’s side have also not been convincing in the Champions League, where they are presently second in Group D with three points from two matches.

And the manager, who feels results have not reflected Arsenal’s performances this season, urged his charges to “give a fraction more” in view of changing the scenario.

“Look, we have lost only one game in the Premier League but we have not enough points with what we produced", Wenger told his club’s official site.

"Top level performance is to make the maximum with your potential and sometimes in games you need a fraction more.

"That’s what we want to do – give a fraction more to be really efficient in what we do."

Arsenal, who began their Champions League campaign with a 2-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund, defeated Galatasaray 4-1 earlier in the month.
