Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has taken responsibility for his side’s 1-0 loss to Olympiacos in the Champions League last night.

Pajtim Kasami’s 35th-minute goal in Greece handed the Italian champions their second successive loss in the continental competition.

Juventus, who lost to Atletico Madrid by the same margin earlier in the month, presently find themselves third in the Group A with three points from as many matches.

Allegri, who feels his side wasted numerous chances to equalise after the break, however believes Juventus can still qualify for the knockout round of the Champions League with three group stage games still left to play.

“We made a lot of technical errors. Olympiacos pressured us very well, they were effective in their counter-attacks”, he explained to UEFA’s official site.

“We improved in the second half. We moved up the field and could have equalised but we wasted a lot of chances.

“I'm sad but we still have three games to go. I take responsibility.”

Juventus, who were eliminated from the group stage of the Champions League last season, are currently one point clear at the top of the Serie A table with 19 points from seven matches.
