Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar would love to raid his old club for Adnan Januzaj, but believes financially the Belgium international may be out of reach for Ajax.
Van der Sar, who starred between the sticks for Manchester United, is currently the commercial director at another of his old clubs in the form of Ajax.
Januzaj has struggled to command a regular first team spot at Manchester United under Louis van Gaal and it has been suggested he could well head to Ajax, perhaps on loan.
But Van der Sar believes the winger will eventually make the grade at Old Trafford and, even if here available, would be unaffordable for the Dutch champions.

"Januzaj is struggling to earn minutes, but he will be fine", Van der Sar told Het Laatste Nieuws.
"Can Ajax offer him a lifeline? Well, if you have his agent's number, give it to me in confidence.
"But I fear we cannot afford to pay his salary", the former goalkeeper smiled.
Ajax did business with Manchester United in the summer, selling Daley Blind to the Red Devils for £13.8m.
