Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Lee Evans has revealed that playing at Elland Road tomorrow against Leeds United will be a special moment for him as he is a boyhood Leeds fan.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who is highly rated at Wolves, has been a fixture for Kenny Jackett's men this season and a key part of the club's promising start to the new term, which sees them sit fourth in the Championship at present.

Now they face another test in the form of Darko Milanic's Leeds, but it is one Evans is relishing, and not just for the professional challenge of facing the Whites.

"It will be something special for me because it’s something I’ve dreamt of as a kid so it will be nice to play there", he told his club's site.

"Hopefully I can play because I know a lot of my family will be there watching so I’m looking forward to it.

"All my family – my dad Dean, all my uncles on the other side – everyone supports Leeds. It goes to the old days in the Don Revie era – it’s stuck through and the old man instilled it into me.

"When I was younger, I went up there to watch them loads of times. My dad would take me up there on the odd occasion, maybe twice a season when I was younger.

"They used to be big fans, but now I’m playing, they try to follow me instead and that’s taken over", Evans continued.

"All I’m interested in is three points because hopefully we can go on another good run."

Evans, a Wales Under-21 international, joined Wolves from Newport County in January 2013.
