Luis Enrique has claimed that it was not hard for him to motivate the Barcelona players for their next game after last week’s El Clasico defeat.

Last week’s loss to Real Madrid brought league leaders Barcelona level on points with second placed Sevilla and the Catalan giants are under pressure to get back to winning ways when Celta Vigo pay them a visit tomorrow.

The Barcelona manager said that his players are up for the game tomorrow and insisted that it was not hard for him to gee up the players after the demoralising defeat against their most bitter rivals.

He added Barcelona will ride over their rough patch and stressed that coming back from demoralising defeats is the mark of a great side.

“No not at all [hard to motivate the players]”, Enrique was quoted as saying by AS.

“At least if the intensity of our training sessions is anything to go by. We know that we are going to go through tough patches and being ready for that is part of gaining success over the course of the season.

“Defeats like last week’s always hurt but, you are going to suffer defeats like that – or worse.”

After Celta Vigo’s visit, Barcelona will travel to the Netherlands next week to take on Ajax at the Amsterdam ArenA on Tuesday.
