Wesley Sneijder has put his suitors on alert by blasting Galatasaray and expressing his rage at the way he has been treated by the Turkish giants.

Sneijder was recently embroiled in a contractual issue with Galatasaray, with the club late in paying his wages, to the tune of around €1m.

Galatasaray rectified the issue, but Sneijder's agent has warned the club not to step out of line again or else risk his client going to FIFA to have his contract dissolved.

And on Friday night Galatasaray left Sneijder on the bench against Kasimpasa, something which sent the Netherlands international into a rage in the dressing room, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur, despite him being brought on in the second half.

"I'm a superstar. I played in the World Cup final", Sneijder is reported to have blasted in the dressing room.

"I do not deserve this treatment. There is talk going on behind my back.

"Six months ago I was promised the captaincy, they said I could play as a number 10 and that the club would sign a top player.

"None of that has happened", he added.

The Dutchman then took aim at Felipe Melo, saying: "He is blocking me. He does not think I'm popular.

"If you want to say something to me, do it to my face."

Sneijder, who has been regularly linked with reuniting with former Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, recently scored two world-class goals to help Galatasaray beat Fenerbahce in the Istanbul derby.

Galatasaray's current captain is Selcuk Inan.
