Inter Milan have contacted Atletico Madrid over a possible loan deal for Alessio Cerci during the upcoming winter transfer window, according to Spanish daily AS.

The forward, who joined the Spanish champions from Torino in the summer for €16m, has found game time hard to come by at the capital club.

Cerci has thus far made just six appearances in all competitions for Atletico Madrid, scoring once.

And it is believed that struggling Italian giants Inter Milan are interested to bring the 27-year-old back to Serie A, where he scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists last term.

However, Nerazzurri striker Mauro Icardi could head to the opposite direction as a part of the deal.
