Liverpool target Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu’s agent has said that his client is not thinking about a transfer at the moment.

The defensively minded midfielder has been in fine form for Udinese this season and is one of the first names on coach Andrea Stramaccioni’s team sheet.

There was interest from clubs across Europe in the midfielder during the summer, but the Serie A side managed to keep hold of the Ghanaian international.

Liverpool are among the Premier League clubs who are keen on signing Badu in the winter transfer window to add steel to their midfield and even Hull and West Brom are on the midfielder’s trail.

But his agent, Claudio Vagheggi, has insisted that his client is only concentrating on doing well for Udinese this season and at this point in time the midfielder is not considering a transfer.

“Emmanuel is carving out a prominent place at club level”, Vagheggi told Calcio Mercato.

“His goal is to do well for Udinese and for the Ghanaian national team. It is the first season that he is playing consistently and he must continue to do so.

“We will take a call after 30th June, but the transfer market is not crossing our mind at the moment. We do not care to comment on the rumours that are circulating in these days.”

Badu has earned 54 international caps for Ghana.
