Celtic defender Jason Denayer has urged the home support to be at their loudest as they prepare to take on Austrian outfit Salzburg in a crucial Europa League encounter on Thursday.

The Bhoys are currently placed second in Group D, having secured eight points from four matches, with the match against the group leaders set to be crucial to ensure their progress to the next round of the tournament.

However, the youngster knows how tough their opponents can be, and thus is urging the fans to show their support for the team in order to bring out the best from his team-mates.

“Salzburg are a very good team so it will be a very big game at home, and hopefully we can get as many people in the stadium as we can”, Denayer told his club's official site.

“It would be great for it to be full.

“It makes a difference to the other team as well as when you have that kind of atmosphere in the ground, it can be difficult to play well.”

The Hoops are on a good run of form at present, enjoying an eight game unbeaten streak in all competitions.
