Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking and the club's sporting director Klaus Allofs have lavished praise on former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who they believe is doing extraordinary things for the Wolves.

De Bruyne exited Chelsea earlier this year after failing to convince Blues boss Jose Mourinho of the merits of including him in his team.

The Belgian has quickly settled in at the Volkswagen Arena and is highly rated by Hecking, further proving just why after he set up both Wolfsburg's goals in their 2-1 win over Hamburg recently.

De Bruyne has a total of nine assists in eleven Bundesliga games so far.

"In a team unit, he is one of those who can make a difference", Hecking told UEFA.

And Hecking's words were echoed by Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs.

"The way Kevin is performing is extraordinary. There is no reason to talk this down", Allofs explained.

De Bruyne has also been effective in Europe, with three goals and three assists in four Europa League matches.
