Borussia Dortmund schemer Marco Reus is confident that he will return as a stronger and better footballer from his latest injury.

Reus sustained a torn ligament in his ankle on Saturday and is only expected to recover by the time the club’s winter training camp starts.

Since the Bundesliga has a winter break from 20th December to 31st January, the player will not feature in Dortmund colours again this year.

The German international has thanked his well wishers for their support and has vowed to return as a stronger and better player.

“Thank you all, thanks for your messages”, Reus said on Twitter.
