Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are all on red alert as Joao Moutinho is thinking about quitting Monaco in January, according to L’Equipe.

The Portuguese international, who joined the French outfit from FC Porto in 2013, has become concerned at Monaco's direction, with James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao having left in the summer.

It is believed that Moutinho also asked his agent to look for a new club during the summer transfer window, but it was too late.

However, the 28-year-old, whose present contract with Monaco runs until 2018, is desperate to not let an opportunity pass if any presents itself in January.

Monaco are prepared to sell Moutinho for €30m, €5m more than they originally paid to Porto to acquire his services.

And it remains to be seen if any of the Premier League giants are willing to cough up that hefty amount for the talented midfielder.

Moutinho has thus far amassed 51 appearances in all competitions for Monaco, scoring four times.
