Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has stressed that he is concentrating more on his overall performance than worrying about his lack of goals.

Ramsey was in good goalscoring form last season and despite missing a large part of the campaign due to an injury, the Welshman scored 16 goals in all competitions for the Gunners.

But the midfielder has failed to replicate last term’s goalscoring form in the current campaign and has struck the back of the net only three times for Arsenal.

However, Ramsey is not overly concerned with his form this time around and said that if he keeps doing the right things the goals will follow.

“Maybe at the beginning, yes [I was trying too hard to score]”, Ramsey was quoted as saying by his club's site.

“Now I've put that to the back of my mind and I’m focusing on other things. That will come naturally again.

“I still believe in my qualities, and I'm confident that I can show them again this year.

"There will be plenty more opportunities.”

Ramsey has scored 30 goals in 200 appearances for the club.
