Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has ruled out a move for Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Marco Reus.

The German, whose contract with BVB runs until 2017, has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga giants next summer, with a host of clubs interested in acquiring the services of the 25-year-old, due to a release clause in his contract which is active in 2015.

But Mourinho insisted that the Blues are not in the race to sign the Germany international as his side already have a number of talented individuals in that position.

The Portuguese tactician, who further revealed that he shares a great relationship with Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, however admitted that Reus is a fantastic player.

"We do not want Marco Reus, he belongs to Borussia Dortmund”, Mourinho said at a press conference before Chelsea’s Champions League fixture against Schalke tonight.

“He is a very good player, but we have a lot of very good players in his position, and I share a fantastic relationship with his coach.”

Reus, who is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and will be out until the new year, will be available in the summer for around €25m, due to the clause in his current deal.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all chasing the signature of the highly-rated midfielder.
