Celtic defender Jason Denayer believes there is no reason why the Bhoys cannot win the Europa League this term.

The Scottish champions are in a strong position to qualify for the knockout round and host Red Bull Salzburg at Celtic Park on Thursday.

The Europa League has been set as a key target by Celtic boss Ronny Deila and Denayer sees no reason why the Bhoys should not aim for success.

"We have a good squad and if we work hard we can go far in the competition", the defender told a press conference.

"It's important to qualify from this game as after that we have to go away to Zagreb and everybody knows it will be difficult to play there."

And for Denayer, who is on loan at Celtic from Manchester City, the Europa League is a very good learning experience.

"Celtic is a big club, so a lot of people watch the games and it was a good opportunity for me to improve and become a better player.

"A lot of physical players [are in Europe] so it's good for a centre-back to play against physical players to improve."
