Celtic manager Ronny Deila admits that the Bhoys are still working on keeping striker John Guidetti at the club on a permanent basis.

Bhoys assistant boss John Collins revealed yesterday that Celtic have offered a deal to Guidetti, but the striker still appears to be some way off being signed and sealed.

Deila, asked before tomorrow night's Europa League game against Red Bull Salzburg about Guidetti, told a press conference: "We are talking with his agent and [it is] still ongoing."

Guidetti has been in fine form for Celtic since linking up with the club on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City in the summer.

The Swede is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium next summer and is not expected to return.

Celtic do not have a clear run at Guidetti however.

Indeed, French giants Marseille have begun to scout the striker ahead of a potential swoop.
