Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert insists that his team-mates are as eager as the fans to turn things around in their favour soon.

The Reds have been in disappointing form both at domestic level as well as in Europe, currently languishing in a disappointing 12th position in the league and third in Champions League Group B.

Lambert though insists that his team can make amends for their performances when they take on Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets tonight in the Champions League.

He also believes that a win against Ludogorets would be an ideal way to put smiles back on the fans' faces, with the faithful desperate to see a turnaround in the club's fortunes.

"This is a massive game that everyone is looking forward to", Lambert told his club's official site.

"On the back of the defeat on Sunday [against Crystal Palace], this is ideal to try to rectify our performance.

"We want to turn it around as much as them, and we know we're the ones that can do something about it.

"This is where we've got to dig deep right now and start grinding out results. We don't have to play the best football but we have to win the battles and get back to basics."
