Manchester City youngster Seko Fofana has expressed his delight at having got the opportunity to join Championship side Fulham on loan.

The 19-year-old will be at Craven Cottage until 31st January and could make his debut for the club in their Championship match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

The youngster joined the Citizens from Lorient last year and has managed seven Under-21 Premier League appearances for the Sky Blues this season, having scored two goals.

“I’m happy to be here”, Fofana told Fulham's official site.

“It’s a pleasure for me to be with a professional team, a professional squad and to be able to train every day with professional players, so I’m happy to be at Fulham.

“I want the team to win as many games as possible and I want to get as much game time as I can.

"We want to win a lot of games because we want to get promoted to the Premier League."

The Frenchman will join his countryman Moussa Dembele, whose advice, he reveals, he took before deciding to join the Cottagers.

“Before I came we spoke together and he told me good things about the club.

"So that was another motivation to come, and I’m happy.”
