Liverpool and Arsenal target Andre-Pierre Gignac has hinted at a move from Marseille to Italy in the summer.

Gignac has been in prolific form this season and his eleven goals have played a crucial role in Marseille’s climb to the top of Ligue 1.

With good performances comes interest from big clubs and there has been no shortage of clubs who are keen on signing the French striker, especially with his contract expiring next summer.

Liverpool and Arsenal are two of the many clubs who are showing an interest in him and Gignac admits that he might leave Marseille at the end of the season.

“I think I will leave at the end of the season”, the French international told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I want to know if [coach Marcelo] Bielsa will stay, but I want a big challenge. I will consider all proposals carefully.”

Other than the English duo, Roberto Mancini is ready to add Gignac’s attacking qualities to his Inter Milan side and in what will come as music to his ears, the Frenchman takes a keen interest in Italian football.

“Inter are an institution and Mancini is a great coach.

“I would be great. I live for football and watch all the major leagues. I admire the tactical culture of Italy. And I have also played against Sampdoria at the Marassi – the fans made a big impression on me.”

With Gignac hinting towards a move to Italy, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool and Arsenal step up their interest with the winter transfer window approaching.
