Manchester United are in contact with Wesley Sneijder's representatives over a potential move to Old Trafford for the Dutchman, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

Sneijder is not actively pushing to leave Galatasaray, but is growing increasingly concerned about his position at the Turkish club.

The midfielder has seen his wages arrive late this term, while it was also alleged that following him rejecting another salary delay proposed by the club, he was dropped to the bench as a result.

Sneijder is now thought to have an uneasy relationship with Galatasaray coach Cesare Prandelli and could leave the Turk Telekom Arena if matters do not improve.

The player's representatives are in contact with Manchester United, although it is unclear whether that will result in the Red Devils making a firm offer for Sneijder.
