Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has expressed his hope that the Reds manage to snap up 15-year-old wonderkid Martin Odegaard.

Odegaard trained with Liverpool last week as part of his tour of a number of top European clubs who are chasing his signature.




Next on the Norwegian's list is said to be Arsenal, while he has also already trained with Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

 


And when the Norwegian trained at Anfield, Lovren was highly impressed, the Croatian defender urging the Reds to make sure they snare him.

"He's brilliant and he has brilliant technique", Lovren told TV2.

"He's a brilliant left-footed player and can be a star of the future.

"We wish him luck and hope he stays here."

Odegaard, who has supported Liverpool all his life, is expected to make a decision on his future in the new year, by which time he will be 16 years old.

The youngster, who plays for Stromsgodset in Norway, is already a senior Norway international.
