Martin Odegaard is not set to make a quick decision on his future, despite claims in England he is heading for Liverpool, with towards the end of January being the time at which his destination will become clearer.

The Norwegian recently trained with the Reds, who were hugely impressed, and he is known to be a boyhood Liverpool supporter.

But despite claims Odegaard is already set on Liverpool, Ajax are expecting the Norwegian midfielder in the middle of January for a tour of the club and to join training, according to Voetbal International.

Ajax training chief Wim Jonk visited Norway in November and spoke to Odegaard's parents, something which led to the tour offer being accepted.

The 15-year-old is also wanted by Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Manchester United, while he has been linked with Arsenal.

Should Odegaard intend to keep his date with Ajax then no decision over his future is likely to be made until towards the end of January at the earliest.

The midfielder currently turns out for Stromsgodset in Norway, with the club needing to give permission whenever he trains with another side, for insurance purposes.
