Former Arsenal and Barcelona left-back Sylvinho has been appointed technical assistant at Italian giants Inter.

Sylvinho, who joined Brazilian side Cruzeiro as assistant manager in 2011, has been employed to assist new Nerazzurri boss Roberto Mancini.




The 40-year-old started his playing career at Corinthians before being snapped up by Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.

 


He headed to join Celta Vigo in 2001, but after impressing in Spain was snapped up by Barcelona, where he remained until 2009.

Sylvinho then returned to England for a brief spell with Manchester City between 2009 and 2010.

He quickly jumped into coaching and following time with Cruzeiro as an assistant joined Sport Recife before linking up with one of his former clubs in Corinthians.
