Roberto Mancini believes his Inter Milan team are slowly improving after they won against Chievo last night.

Goals from midfielder Mateo Kovacic and defender Andrea Ranocchia helped Mancini to register his first league win in his second spell at Inter.

Inter moved up to 11th in the league table on 20 points, six points off third placed Lazio, their next opponents on Sunday.

Mancini expressed his satisfaction after Inter finally posted a win in the Serie A under his stewardship and believes his team’s all-round game is slowly but surely improving.

"Despite the difficulties in the match, we ran out victorious and kept a clean sheet to boot. I’m satisfied”, the Italian told the club’s official site.

"We want to move forward and play at a high level.

“Slowly but surely, we’re improving at the back. The defence did extremely well today.”

Mancini took charge of Inter before the Milan derby last month, but, after a 1-1 draw, he presided over defeats by Roma and Udinese.
