Manchester United scouts were in attendance at the Portuguese Cup match between Benfica and Sporting Braga at the Estadio da Luz last night.

Goals from Aderlan Santos and Pardo helped Sporting Braga to overcome the Portuguese giants on their home turf.




With the winter transfer window approaching, some of the top European clubs are sending scouts across the globe to finalise their targets for January.

 


According to Portuguese daily Record, Manchester United scouts were present last night to look at players and prepare a dossier for Louis van Gaal.

Manchester United targets Enzo Perez and Nicolas Gaitan were in action last night for Benfica, but it is unclear whether the club were looking at the duo as a defender is believed to be their priority next month.

Despite their transfer ban, Barcelona scouts were also in attendance, presumably assessing the development of any long-term targets for the club.

Also present were scouts from Granada, Montpellier, Reading and Siena and Portuguese outfits Sporting Lisbon and Arouca were also represented.
