Jonny Evans believes his Manchester United team-mate Radamel Falcao has a "predator instinct" when it comes to scoring goals.

Falcao hit the back of the net for Manchester United in their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, rising high to get his head to an Ashley Young cross and powering the ball past Brad Guzan and into the net.

Evans was impressed with the Colombian, who is on loan at Old Trafford for the season from Ligue 1 side Monaco.

The defender told his club's site: "He did very well and got his goal.

"He's got a predator instinct in the area.

"Look at his record over the years, he's scored lots of headers and one-touch finishes – he has great movement", Evans concluded.

Falcao will be looking to continue his goalscoring run when Newcastle visit Old Trafford on Boxing Day.
