Manchester United are looking at making a bid for Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is keen to bolster his defensive options if he can land players on his list next month.
Manchester United have looked at Atletico Madrid pair Miranda and Diego Godin, but the Spanish champions are reluctant to do business in January.
Now Lichtsteiner has popped onto the radar at Old Trafford and Juventus may be willing to cash in on the Switzerland international.

Lichtsteiner has less than a year left to run on his contract and has yet to sign an extension in Turin.
The experienced right-back has made 15 appearances in Serie A for Juventus so far this season.
