Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus believes that his team still have to improve and cut out their mistakes in order to "consistently do the right things".

The Nerazzurri showed character to hold their nerve and come from behind to draw their match against Lazio 2-2 at home this weekend.

According to Jesus, while the first half was disappointing for his team, they did the right things in the second half to secure a point against Stefano Pioli's team.

The 23-year-old also thanked Roberto Mancini for his half time team-talk, which he believes was crucial in turning things around for the team.

"We approached the game in the wrong way in the first half but we turned things around after the break", Jesus told his club's official site.

"A lot of that was down to what the coach said to us at the interval."

The Brazilan international also took time to talk about steps his team need to take, in order to improve this season.

"We need our second half approach for the full 90 minutes in matches and consistently do the right things.

"We still have to improve and cut out our mistakes."

Inter Milan will now enjoy a brief winter break before they head to Juventus on 6th January.

"Now we'll focus on recharging our batteries and look towards Juventus."
