Real Madrid and Manchester United target Christoph Kramer has penned a new contract with Bayer Leverkusen.

Kramer is currently on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach and there has been much speculation over his future due to a series of superb displays at Borussia Park.

But Leverkusen have moved quickly to shut down the conversation over Kramer's future and have persuaded the midfielder to extend his contract at the BayArena.

Indeed, Kramer has put pen to paper on an agreement running until the summer of 2019.

Kramer told his club's site: "After talks with the directors at Leverkusen I didn't hesitate to extend my contract.

"It is the total package with the team and coach and the club itself just suits me.

"I've known Bayer 04 since my youth, it has always been my dream to make it there in the first team."

Kramer has made eight appearances for Germany at senior international level and won the World Cup with his country in the summer.
