Claudio Bravo has insisted that La Liga is just not about Barcelona and Real Madrid and believes that there are a number of teams who are good enough to compete in Spain.

After an impressive World Cup with Chile, the 31-year-old shot-stopper joined Barcelona. He is their first-choice goalkeeper in the league and has conceded just seven goals in 16 appearances.

Going into the winter break, Barcelona are second in La Liga behind Real Madrid and though the players will be in holiday mood, Bravo feels that they cannot afford to let their guard down.

Real Madrid are currently on a 22-game winning run, but the Barcelona custodian feels they are not the only threat to the Catalan giants in Spain.

He believes that La Liga is a much more competitive league these days and there are a number of teams who are capable of shock results against the big two of Spain.

"We always aim higher as a team and want to do better on a daily basis", Bravo told reporters in Chile.

"It's not just Real Madrid; there are lots of teams in La Liga who make life really tough for you. We've dropped points against opponents we weren't expected to.

“It's a very competitive and difficult league in which any team can give you a run for your money."
