Manchester United striker Robin van Persie will miss FIFA's awards ceremony tomorrow evening as he has to undergo a scan on his ankle.
He suffered an injury during Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Southampton earlier today and will need to undergo a scan to discover the extent of the damage.
And that means Van Persie will not be able to head to Zurich for FIFA's annual awards ceremony.
The ceremony will see the FIFA Ballon d'Or awarded, with Manuel Neuer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on the three-man shortlist.

Van Persie is himself in the running for an award.
The striker is in the mix for the Goal of the Year accolade, due to his superb diving header against Spain at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
