Samuel Eto'o has agreed personal terms with Sampdoria and is likely to undergo a medical with the Italian side on Monday.
The former Cameroon international is expected to say his farewells at current club Everton over the weekend before setting off for Italy.
According to Sky Italia, earlier today Eto'o reached an agreement on personal terms with Sampdoria.
A medical has now provisionally been booked in for Monday, allowing Eto'o time to finalise his departure from Everton.

The 33-year-old only joined Everton from Chelsea last summer, but has now decided to call time on his spell at Goodison Park.
Eto'o is no stranger to Italian football, having played for Inter between 2009 and 2011.
