Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says he is not willing to talk about finishing in the top four this term, despite moving up to fifth after beating Sunderland 2-1.

Spurs took the lead through Jan Vertonghen early on in the game, but were pegged back by half-time, the two teams going in level at 1-1.

Pochettino's men would get the win though when Christian Eriksen came up with the goods with a late, late goal, striking in the 88th minute.

And the Spurs boss was delighted, telling the BBC: "I am happy for the players and for our supporters. We played much better than Sunderland, and in the second half, I thought we were better."

Pochettino also had warm words for Eriksen and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, remarking: "Christian Eriksen is a very good player, and this is a very good victory. Hugo Lloris is one of the best keepers in the world, and he showed that late on."

But the Tottenham manager, despite his side now being fifth, will not focus on the top four yet.

"I don't want to speak about finishing in the top four. I want to speak about the next game. We need to keep going."
