Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has said that he is more than a poacher when it comes to scoring goals as he also looks to assist his team-mates with goalscoring opportunities.

Lewandowski moved to Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund at the start of the current season. He has scored ten goals and assisted a further seven in all competitions for the Bavarian giants.

The reigning Bundesliga champions are currently 11 points clear of their nearest rivals in the league and have comfortably qualified for the Champions League round of 16 as group winners.

The Poland international takes great pride in his all-round skills as a centre-forward, which saw him score a league leading 20 goals and provide 11 assists last season.

“I’m not the sort of striker who wants to hang around in the box and just score goals”, Lewandowski declared to his club's site.

“I’m happy if I can provide assists and play well,” he added.

Lewandowski will look to continue his prolific contribution at Bayern Munich when they resume their league campaign against Wolfsburg on 30th January.
