Leeds United are stepping up their interest in Albanian international striker Edgar Cani, but are still to reach an agreement over a transfer fee with Catania.

The Whites are keen to add one more striker to their squad for the second half of the season, as they look to cement their Championship status.

They have been on Cani’s trail since the start of this month and are now trying to negotiate a deal with Catania for the striker.

According to Sportitalia, Catania have slapped a €700,000 asking price on Cani, but Leeds are only prepared to pay €450,000 for the moment. It also remains to be seen whether Leeds would want the striker on loan before completing a permanent move.
