Catania are eyeing a deal for on-loan Atalanta striker Valerio Rosseti, signalling their intent to part with Leeds United target Edgar Cani this month.

Leeds have been heavily linked with a move for the Catania striker and they have been trying hard to negotiate a deal with the Serie B outfit for the last few days.

Catania’s asking price for Cani is believed to be around €700,000, but Leeds are only prepared to pay around €450,000. It is also unclear whether the Whites would want the Albanian on loan first until the summer, working around a Football League transfer embargo.

According to Sky Italia, Catania are eyeing a move for Atalanta striker Rosseti, signalling that they are preparing for life after Cani.

Leeds may be close to reaching an agreement with Catania for the 25-year-old, as the Italians are actively seeking a replacement for the striker. However, Cani is also of interest to Bari.
