Neil Lennon would be willing to go back to Scottish giants Celtic for a second spell in charge at Paradise, should the opportunity come along at the right time.

The Northern Irishman left Celtic last summer, deciding he had taken the Bhoys as far as possible after winning three consecutive Scottish titles.

Lennon is now at Championship side Bolton Wanderers, but admits he would be interested in the chance to manage Celtic again at some point in the future, speaking positively about his time in Scotland.

He told the BBC: "There's no question I would go back.

"I'm not saying it will ever happen, but if the opportunity came along and I was ready for it, I wouldn't have any hesitation. There is a huge part of me that will always have an affinity with the club", Lennon continued.

"It was tumultuous, it was exciting, it was breathtaking at times, it was everything you wanted it to be. There were feelings that you will probably never replicate again in your life.

"There were scenes that you could never replicate in your life at any other club or any other environment. And I'm talking about the big two, those [Old Firm] games. I've been very lucky and fortunate to be the manager of Celtic and to have been successful in doing so."

Lennon was succeeded at Celtic Park by Norwegian Ronny Deila, who currently has the Bhoys sitting top of the Scottish Premiership and into the last 32 of the Europa League.

Bolton meanwhile are 15th in the Championship table, with Lennon having steered the Trotters up the standings since being appointed at the Macron Stadium on 12th October.
