The agent of Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos admits that Manchester United are one of the clubs that are tracking his client.

Louis van Gaal's men have been linked with making a big-money move to snap up the Brazilian centre-back in recent days as they look to continue to strengthen their defensive options.

Barcelona chased Marquinhos last summer, but failed, while PSG have vowed not to part with the 20-year-old in the current transfer window.

The situation may change in the summer though and Manchester United are front and centre with their interest, agent Giuliano Bertolucci has admitted.

Speaking to Le Parisien, he said: "Last summer the PSG president declared that there would be no talks over a transfer for Marquinhos.

"We'll see what the position is next summer.

"Many clubs are keen on him. Manchester United are one of them. That's true."

Marquinhos has clocked up just 12 appearances in Ligue 1 for PSG so far this season, seeing himself dislodged from the starting eleven in recent months due to the presence of David Luiz, a summer signing from Chelsea.

The defender, whose contract in Paris runs until 2018, made three appearances in the club's Champions League group stage campaign.
