Newcastle United are in talks with Spanish outfit Racing Santander over a deal to sign 18-year-old Spanish winger David Concha.

A product of Racing Santander’s youth academy, the 18-year-old is a regular in Paco Fernandez’s side that play in the second tier of Spanish football.




Newcastle scouts have been tracking his progress and finally the Magpies have been convinced to make move for him this month in order to ensure they win the race for his services.

According to Spanish daily AS, the club are negotiating a deal with Racing Santander and the player’s parents were in Newcastle last month to check out the city and attended the Tyne-Wear derby at St. James’ Park.
 


The youngster is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Magpies and will be loaned back to Racing Santander for the remainder of the season before arriving in Newcastle over the summer.
