West Ham attacking midfielder Ravel Morrison’s agent arrived in Italy yesterday to agree a deal with Lazio that will see his client join the club at the end of the season on a free transfer.

The former Manchester United midfielder joined West Ham in 2012 and has spent time on loan at clubs such as Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City.

He returned to the club after spending three months on loan at Cardiff last month, but Sam Allardyce has opted to ignore him for selection until now.

The relationship between the club and the player turned sour after Morrison became embroiled in controversies off the field and the Hammers are keen on offloading the midfielder as soon as possible.

Lazio are interested in the mercurial Englishman and according to Sky Italia his agent arrived in Italy yesterday to reach an agreement with the Roman club that will see Morrison join them on a free transfer this summer.
