Udinese are eyeing a deal for PSV Eindhoven’s 19-year-old winger Zakaria Bakkali, who has also been linked with Liverpool and more recently, Valencia.

Bakkali’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and has so far refused to sign a new deal with the club, signalling his intent to leave PSV in the summer.

Currently sidelined with a groin injury, he has not seen a single minute of first team football this season and has only made five appearances for PSV’s Under-21 side.

A highly-rated young winger, Liverpool were keen on signing the player last summer and recently he has also been linked with a move to La Liga giants Valencia.

Serie A side Udinese are the latest club to show an interest in Bakkali and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, they are eyeing a summer move for the winger.

The Italians are aware that with his injury, a move this month is highly unlikely and the prospect of signing him by paying a minimal compensation fee to PSV in the summer is a more tempting proposition for Udinese.

Valencia and Liverpool will continue to monitor his fitness and form until the end of the season and are also expected to make their moves for Bakkali at an opportune moment.
