La Liga outfit Cordoba are closing in on a deal for out-of-favour Inter midfielder Rene Krhin, who has been chased by Leeds United.

The 24-year-old midfielder is eager to play regular first team football for the second half of the campaign, something Inter coach Roberto Mancini cannot offer him.

As a result the Slovenian has been searching for options this month, with a number of clubs paying attention to his situation, including Hamburg and Leeds.

Now, according to Sky Italia, as the winter transfer window clock ticks down, Cordoba are moving for Krhin.

The midfielder has enjoyed just 32 minutes of Serie A action with the Nerazzurri so far this season, being firmly on the fringes in Milan.

Krhin was picked up by Inter in 2007, drafted into the club's youth ranks from Slovenian giants NK Maribor.

He spent time at Bologna on a co-ownership deal before returning to Inter last summer, penning a two-year deal with the Nerazzurri.

Krhin's suitors Cordoba currently sit 15th in La Liga and are desperate not to be dragged into a relegation scrap.
