Didier Drogba is not planning to hang up his boots in the summer and expects to play on with Chelsea for another season.

The veteran Ivorian striker returned to his old club last summer and has continually been turned to by Jose Mourinho, providing vital support for his Chelsea team-mates off the bench.

Drogba, who has also been handed the captaincy on a number of occasions owing to his standing at the club, does not intend to quit in the summer despite being 37 years old in March.

"Next season I'll still be a Chelsea player", the striker told French TV programme Telefoot.

Drogba has clocked up 17 appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
