Zinedine Zidane has left out Norwegian teen sensation Martin Odegaard from his Real Madrid Castilla squad for their game against Trival Valderas today.

Real Madrid worked hard to beat off competitions from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Celtic, Ajax and Barcelona to sign the 16-year-old teen prodigy earlier this month.

Odegaard will train with the senior team, but will play in the third tier of Spanish football for Real Madrid Castilla, unless Carlo Ancelotti decides to give him a taste of first team action at any point this season.

The Norwegian was available for selection after Real Madrid were able to complete all the paper work related to his transfer by Friday, but Zidane has opted to ignore him for the squad against Trival Valderas.

After such hype and anticipation regarding his move to Spain, Odegaard will have to wait for one more week to make his debut for Real Madrid’s ‘B’ side.
