Chelsea have resolved the issue over a FIFA solidarity payment with Fiorentina and are on the verge of confirming the arrival of Juan Cuadrado.

The Colombian winger jetted into England over the weekend to put the finishing touches to his big-money move to Stamford Bridge and has already agreed personal terms with Jose Mourinho's men.

However, an agreement with Fiorentina was held up by a disagreement over a five per cent solidarity fee which will have to be split between Cuadrado's former clubs, as per FIFA rules.

Now though, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Chelsea and Fiorentina have resolved their differences over who will foot the bill for the five per cent total.

Now confirmation of Cuadrado becoming a Chelsea player is just hours away.
