Glasgow giants Rangers have confirmed the arrival of five players on loan from Premier League outfit Newcastle United.

Rangers, who are bidding for promotion from the Scottish Championship this term, have added Kevin Mbabu, Haris Vuckic, Remie Streete, Shane Ferguson and Gael Bigirimana to their ranks at Ibrox.

Vukic, a striker, joined the Magpies from Domzale in 2009 and has had loan spells at both Cardiff City and Rotherham United.

Mbabu is a Swiss defender, who linked up with Newcastle from Servette in 2013 and has represented Switzerland from Under-16 level to Under-19 level.

Ferguson is able to operate either as a full-back or a midfielder and has clocked up 32 appearances for the Magpies, while also enjoying a loan spell with Birmingham City.

Bigirimana meanwhile signed for Newcastle from Coventry and is considered an athletic, attack minded midfielder.

Finally, Streete is a strong central defender who will look to make his mark as part of Rangers' defence.
