Former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison cannot wait to start his Serie A experience with Lazio, his agent has revealed, claiming he will suit the football played in Italy.

Morrison terminated his contract at West Ham over the weekend and is heading to Lazio to relaunch his career. However, having already played for two clubs this season, in the shape of the Hammers and Cardiff City, he is unable to turn out for the Rome outfit until next term as per FIFA rules.

Nevertheless, Morrison is enthused by the prospect of playing for Lazio in the Italian top flight and cannot wait to get started.

"He's happy and can't wait. He's happy to start his experience with Lazio", Nick Rubery told Tutto Mercato.

"It's [Lazio] a great club with great tradition and a club that's growing. Italian football is well suited to his characteristics", the agent added.

Morrison may well train with Lazio in the coming days, despite not being able to play until next term. However, Rubery insists nothing has yet been decided.

"Why not? It [training with Lazio] is a possibility, but nothing has been decided about it yet. He only terminated his contract with West Ham on Saturday.

"In the coming days, weeks at the most, we will get a feel for things and decide what to do with Lazio."

Morrison was tipped for big things as he progressed through the youth ranks at Manchester United, but struggled with off the pitch issues and was unable to agree a new contract with the club.

He departed for West Ham in January 2012, however failed to hold down a first team spot under Sam Allardyce and was soon sent out on a series of loan spells.

It remains to be seen whether Morrison can make good on his potential in Italy.
