Despite already boasting David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny as options between the sticks, Arsenal have been linked with plotting a move for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The 22-year-old, who was snapped up by Leverkusen from Stuttgart in 2011, has impressed at the BayArena, establishing himself as the club's undoubted first choice.

Leno, who has represented Germany from Under-17 level through to Under-21 level, is now on Arsenal's wanted list, according to German daily Bild.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is thought to be a firm fan of the young German custodian and believes he could make the grade at the Emirates Stadium.

Leverkusen are unlikely to be keen to part with Leno however, who is regarded as a long-term fixture between the sticks.
