Edinson Cavani has delivered his many suitors a blow by saying he is happy with Paris Saint-Germain and not thinking about quitting the Parc des Princes.

The Uruguayan striker has consistently been linked with leaving PSG over the last year with a whole host of destinations mooted, including Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United.

But Cavani claims he is not looking to leave the French champions and is happy turning out for Laurent Blanc's men, dismissing any suggestions that he is at all unhappy in Paris.

Cavani was quoted as saying by Dutch outlet Soccer News: "I am very happy that I am playing in Paris. Why? Because I am part of a project. Paris Saint-Germain are growing and it's nice that I can see that all first hand.

"I feel good in the French capital", the Uruguayan continued.

"My family is also happy and I also sleep like a baby when I know I've helped the team move forward, so that's what I'm committed to.

"A transfer? I am staying where I am."

While Cavani has often been played away from his natural central striker position by PSG, he has continued to find himself amongst the goals, hitting 41 in 76 appearances since his arrival in the French capital.

This term Cavani has scored 16 goals in all competitions for Laurent Blanc's men as they look to retain their Ligue 1 title and make progress in the Champions League.
